Project Discussion |

So the way we have it set up, carriers reach out to drivers. A carrier can create a project that drivers can bid but if it needs a driver, it can offer a project to a specific driver. We'll call her Alice. Alice can accept or reject the project, but before she does that she'll likely want to ask some questions. She can do that here in this discussion field. The carrier will get to respond, and then Alice may, if she wants, adjust her rate. If she adjusts her rate, she may use alternate methods to calculate a price, such as per mile, per move or a flat total. If she adjusts her rate, the carrier has the option to continue, negotiate, or walk away. If negotiating, the carrier may propose an alternate method of calculating the price. If Alice never adjusts her rate, then she is paid at the hourly rate for all onduty time. While in theory it's entirely possible that Alice could "milk the clock," in reality, she will not. If she does, the carrier will leave a review on her profile indicating as such and then Alice will have a harder time finding work. If Alice were to do this repeatedly, she'd soon find herself unable to find any work on our platform, and all the money she spent getting set up would be wasted.
